The Images also contain major spoiler of the monster that are in the episode so beware when you reach the end of this post. Planet of the Dead: More Images

23 More images have been released by the BBC, these images have, to my knowledge, never been seen before. The images show 2 new characters, who have yet to be named, and also show the damaged bus, some of them are other behind the scenes pictures, as well as more of Lee Evans as Malcom and Noma Dumezweni as Captain Erisa Magambo. The images mainly show David Tennant as The Doctor, one shows Lee Evans and there is one with Michelle Ryan as Christina. The new image were recently printed in the latest issue of SFX magazine. The Sarah Jane Adventures Red Nose Day Special Ratings

The overnight ratings for the Sarah Jane Adventures Red Nose Day special mini-sode have now been released. The ratings show that the special was watched by around 8.3 million viewers. The 1 1/2 slot that David Tennant presented with Davina McCall had an average of 9.2 million viewers, Comic Relief peaked at 9pm with around 12.7 million viewers. Part 3 of the Tennant Tapes

Doctor Who DVD File now online

Euros Lyn Wired.com Interview

Wired.com have published an interview with Euros Lyn about directing the whole series of torchwood and David Tennant's departure episodes later on in the year.

Euros says,

"It's been an endurance test," Lyn told Wired.com. "It was a 16-week shoot for the Torchwood season -- longer than most feature films. But the intensity keeps you focused on the work."

After the New York Comic Con, earlier on in the year, BBC America posted a number of videos, with Eve Myles and Euros Lyn, the first, which can be seen here, shows the pair come of the stage and have a quick interview, The second and third, which can be seen here and here, are an interview with Eve Myles, in which BBC America asked viewer to send in their questions and the fourth is an interview with Euros, which can be seen here and follows the same pattern as the two with Eve Myles.

DVD: Cybermen Boxset

2|Entertain, the people behind the Doctor Who DVD releases, have recently revealed the cover for an upcoming boxset to be released. The boxset named, The Cybermen Collection, will feature 4 episodes, Rise of the Cybermen, Age of Steel, Army of Ghosts and Doomsday, all 4 episodes are from series 2. Unlike the volume releases of the episodes this boxset will feature special features, confirmed special features at the moment are a special interview with David Tennant and The top 25 Cybermen moments. The boxset will be released on 13th April and will cost around £15.99.

TARDIS to redesigned for 2010?

Mirror.co.uk are reporting that the TARDIS is to be redecorated for the 2010 series of Doctor Who. Sources have said the redesign is to mark the start of a new era when Matt Smith becomes the Doctor and because Steven Moffat wants to distance himself from current show runner Russell T Davies. It has also been said that the redesign is to help Doctor Who withstand the move to High Definition.

Filming Continues on the 2009 Specials

After the recent filming in Dubai, the Doctor Who production team have returned to Wales to start filming on the next special, which is to star Lindsey Duncan as the companion for that episode. The special is to also include two more guest starts, currently unknown, as well a robot and Ood Sigma that were seen at filming on Friday night. After the filming, it is now thought that the episode is to be set in the future and around christmas time. David Tennant was also seen at a quarry on Tuesday, in which he wore the same space suit as he wore in The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit.

Lindsey Duncan to be Companion in the 2nd Special

Yesterday many newspapers and news website published a story that actress Lindsey Duncan is to be the companion to the 10th Doctor in the second 2009 special, which is current un-named. The BBC then posted a press release confirming the story. Lindsey, who is to appear in the highly-anticipated BBC 2 drama Margaret, is to play Adelaide, the Doctor's most strong-mined companion yet. Lindsey has also appeared in a stage play with new doctor, Matt Smith, called That Face. The full press release can be read here.

Part 2 of the Tennant Tapes

Last month the BBC released a video diary of David Tennant from 14th January which showed him going back to Cardiff for the read through of Planet of the Dead. Yesterday the BBC have released part 2 of the video diaries, this one shows David's first day on set in the Butetown Tunnel on the 22nd January, the video includes interviews with new producer Tracie Simpson and the 1st Assistant Director, a glimpse of new companion Michelle Ryan can also be seen. Sarah Jane Comic Relief Episode

The BBC have confirmed rumors that there will be a special Sarah Jane Adventures episode for Red Nose Day this year. The event which is to be hosted by David Tennant for the first hour, will be broadcast on Friday 13th March. The episode which is to be filmed soon is to also feature the well-known comedian Ronnie Corbet. More information will be posted as soon as it is received.

Planet of the Dead: Filming in Dubai

The BBC Press Office have now officially revealed that the Doctor Who production cast and crew are over in Dubai, filming scenes for the easter special, Planet of the Dead. The filming continues after a red bus that was meant to be used for filming was damaged, it is said that the BBC acquired a third bus to continue filming. Torchwood Children of Earth Comic Con 2009 Trailer!

The BBC Torchwood website have now officially released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Torchwood: Children of Earth. The trailer was shown at the New York Comic Con where Eve Myles and Euros Lyn were in attendance. The newly redesigned Torchwood website also confirms that all five episodes will air at 9.00pm on BBC1, the week in which all five episodes will broadcast is still to be confirmed. Doctor Who Magazine: Issue 405

The cover and information for Doctor Who Magazine 404 have now been released.

The magazine, out on Thursday, contains the first magazine interview with Matt Smith, recently revealed as the Eleventh Doctor. It asks how he plans to go about playing a 950-year-old Time Lord?

"The script is where it starts, it's always about the words, and luckily we're in the hands of Steven Moffat, who has this show ingrained in his soul and searing through his blood. It’s really born into his whole fabric, and that's the job for me over the next few months, to make this show part of my fibre. I think Steven is going to be the main creative source for me, and we're going to discover it together, who the Doctor is in Steven's mind and words, coupled with pockets of my personality, my history, my life, and the man and the human being that I am. I've got a meeting with Piers (Wenger, executive producer) next week to discuss that, but I think we'll start rehearsing and, you know, just sit around Piers' or Steven's kitchen table, read the scripts together, talk about the part. We’ll talk about my intentions, their intentions, how we feel it can fly, and sing, and be as brilliant and as Doctor-y and as excellent as it can be."

When asked what he might wear as the Doctor? "I’m a big fan of long coats and rather dashing scarves in everyday life, so who knows? For the audition, I rocked up in whatever, so I think they’re having to tone down what I wear in real life for the Doctor! I am a rather elaborate dresser. That's what's lovely, there are all these exciting things – what’s he going to wear, what’s he going to do in his first scene with his companion, which monsters will he meet, will he meet the Daleks? This show is so alive, it really is. I can't ever quite forget that I'm the Doctor – which is weird, because it’s still so far away. But it’s always there in my subconscious, because it's the Doctor! It’s like, there’s Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, and Doctor Who. It has resonance in our cultural fabric."

DWM #405 have officially revealed that all 4 of the 2009 specials will be filmed in High Definition and will be broadcast on BBC HD. Julie Gardener said that this has been the plan since the show was revived in 2005. James Strong, the director of Planet of the Dead has had experience filming in HD as he directed the first episodes of the new series of Hustle. As the episodes are being filmed in HD, a HD DVD release is expected.

K-9 Returns!

The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine reveals that series 3 of the Sarah Jane Adventures will see the return of the faithful robot dog, K-9. Since the series started in 2007 K-9 has been in a safe that is connected to a black hole, K-9 has been keeping the black hole stable ever since. But now the metal dog is released from the safe and will Sarah Jane and her gang safe. The dog will not be in all 12 episodes but is expected to be in 6 episodes in the series. Series 3 of the Sarah Jane Adventures in pre-production at the moment and will be broadcast in the Autumn.

Torchwood: Children of Earth Sneak Peak UPDATED

The official BBC Torchwood site have released information that at the New York Comic Con on Saturday 7th February a 60-second trailer for series 3 will be shown. In attendance at the event will be Eve Myles and Euros Lyn who will be taking questions from the audience and signing autographs. Torchwood: Children of Earth is expected to air in either April, June or July. To read more click here.

Planet of the Dead Script Rewrite

Sources are indicating that Russell T Davies has had to rewrite the Planet of Dead script, after the bus that was being transported to Dubai has been damaged by a crane operator. The reason the script may have to be rewritten is that the bus is to play an important part in the episode, and the production team may not be able to receive a replacement bus in time for the start of filming. Russell T Davies also said that the episode was to be TARDIS-Lite, however the TARDIS was seen at last nights filming along with Lee Evans, who is to play a professor. BBC Books have released information about three new torchwood books expected to be released 15th October 2009. Each book will have an rrp of £6.99 and feature Captain Jack, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones.

Planet of the Dead Casting News

The BBC have posted a press release stating a number of guest stars that are to appear in the first special, Planet of the Dead. The press release reveals that Michelle Ryan is to star as the Doctor's companion for that episode, it is revealed that she will play the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza. Lee Evans is also to appear as Professor Malcom and Noma Dumezweni is to reprise her role as Captain Erisa Magambo, last seen in Turn Left helping Donna and Rose. Planet of the Dead is currently being filmed in Cardiff, after that filming is finished, filming will then start on the rest of the specials, then Matt Smith will take on the TARDIS in the summer when the series 5 filming begins. Toys: Series 4 Vespiform build-a-figure

Character Options have recently reveled a modified wave of series 4 figures. Character Options are releasing the Supreme Dalek, Davros, Donna, the Pyrovile Priestess, River Song, Sontaran Trooper, Sontaran General Staal, Ood Sigma, Natural Ood, Hath Peck and the Vashta Narada suit creature and also releasing 25 Adipose. Each figure will include a part to make a deluxe Vespiform.

Both the wave of toys and Vespifrom are pictured below. The timelord figure is picture is not yet known if it will be included in the wave.

Character Options have recently revealed the next wave of series 1, 2 and 3 toys. The wave includes Jabe, a purple Clockwork Droid, Captain Jack, Master in YANA clothes, Old and Ancient Doctors from Last of the Timelords, Astrid without apron and Bannakaffalatta. Each toy come with an extra part that when completed after all figures are bought will make a Gelth figure.

BBC Proms: Extended Version on Red Button

The extended version of the first Doctor Who Prom, which was recorded in July can now be seen on a loop on the BBC Red Button for UK digital viewers. A cut down version of the prom was broadcast on new years day, the previous version did not show doctor who un-related music, the appearance of Camille Coduri and Noel Clarke or the performance of Song For Ten. The extended prom can also be seen on the bbc doctor who website from tomorrow for a limited time.

The Next Doctor: Final Ratings

The final ratings for The Next Doctor have now been officially released by BARB, the ratings show that The Next Doctor received 13.10 million viewers. The episode was the second most watched programme of the week only being beat by Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death. The episode is the 5th most watched programme of the year being beat by Wallace and Gromit, The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. The episode is the 9th most watched episode since 1963, only being beat by Voyage of the Damned from the new series. Ratings for the Doctor Who Prom will be released next week.

BBC Books have now released the information and covers for the set of books to be released this September. The titles for the books are The Taking of Chelsea 426, Autonomy, The Krillitane Storm, each book features a returning character from the new series including the Sontarans, the Autons and the Krillitanes.

The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, out this week, features an interview with Dervla Kirwan, Miss Hartigan in The Next Doctor, who talks about playing the beautiful and ruthless 'lady in red'.

Doctor Who Confidential: The Eleventh Doctor Overnight Ratings

Unofficial overnight ratings show that the special episode of doctor who confidential received 6.1 million viewers and was the second most watched programme of the day only being beaten by Total Wipeout, which was shown just after on BBC1. Final figures will be released in 10 days.

Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor

In tonight's special Doctor Who Confidential, titled The Eleventh Doctor, the next actor to succeed David Tennant was named, and that person is Matt Smith. Matt Smith has previously worked with Billie Piper in Ruby in the Smoke and The Shadow in the North. Matt said "I'm just so excited about the journey that is in front of me. It's a wonderful privilege and challenge that I hope I will thrive on. I feel proud and honoured to have been given this opportunity to join a team of people that has worked so tirelessly to make the show so thrilling." Matt is the youngest actor to play the Doctor ever since the show started back in 1963. Steven Moffat said that he would of liked someone older. but Matt is the perfect actor for the role. 11th Doctor to be announced tomorrow! UPDATED

The BBC Press Office have revealed that as part of the Doctor Who Confidential special to be shown tomorrow, the actor who will play the 11th Doctor will be announced. This comes after many rumors from fans about the announcement. The special that was originally name The 10 Doctor's has now been renamed The 11th Doctor, in which the actor will be revealing their thoughts on the casting. The press release also reveled that the last special, featuring David Tennant as the Doctor, may be shown in early 2009. Doctor Who Confidential will be broadcast at 5.35pm tomorrow and will also be shown on BBC Big Screens across the country.

The Next Doctor: Overnight Ratings

The ratings for The Next Doctor, which was broadcast last night have been revealed. The ratings show that Doctor Who received 11.7 million viewers, with an audience share of 50.5%, Doctor Who was the second most watched program of the day, being beat by Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death which received 14.3 million viewers, Doctor Who is also the second most watched programme of the week and the 10th most watched programme of the year. Final Ratings will be released in 10 days.

Radio Times Christmas Issue

Radio Times have released the cover for the listings 20 December - 2 January which includes a written piece by Russell T Davies, in which he previews the christmas special and talks about plans for Doctor Who, the magazine also includes 2 short interviews with David Tennant and David Morrissey.

“It’s a real thrill to work with him again,” says David Tennant of David Morrissey, with whom he previously starred in BBC1 drama Blackpool in 2004. Morrissey, Dervla Kirwan (opposite page) and Velile Tshabalala, who plays Morrissey’s companion, Rosita, came in for the special at the end of the gruelling nine-month series-four shoot. “There was, I suppose, a danger we’d all be exhausted by the Christmas special,” says Tennant. “But to have David, Dervla and Velile come in with so much energy, always being funny and bright and up for anything, I think it spurred us on. We all got on very well.”

“The show has caught the public imagination. That’s in no small part down to David Tennant,” says David Morrissey (far right). “He absolutely inhabits the role of the Doctor. He’s a fabulous actor. Did you see him in Einstein and Eddington the other week? Brilliant!”
Are you surprised at the level of interest in your casting as the “other” Doctor?
“I’m proud of the episode, so I’m happy with whatever attention comes from that. It was a joy to do. It’s one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever worked in. It’s a full-on drama. That’s what I love about it.”
So you’ll be watching The Next Doctor at home this year?
“Of course. I have a four-year-old, but I don’t think I’ll let him watch. He might find it too strange to see Daddy fighting Cybermen.”
Of course, you’re the bookies’ favourite to take over from David as the 11th Doctor. Are you tempted to have a little flutter?
“[Laughs] It’s just flattering to be in the frame. What David has done is phenomenal, and whoever gets it after him will be a very lucky person. You’d want to keep the spirit of the Doctor, but do it in your own way.”

Radio Times are doing a special offer in this christmas issue. Doctor Who Christmas Radio Times Cover

Radio Times have released the cover for the listings 6-12 December which includes a fold-out Doctor Who cover. The Cover shows both Doctor's, Miss Hartigan and the Cybermen, the magazine also includes a special preview of The Next Doctor and interviews from soon-to-be ex show-runner Russell T Davies, David Tennant, David Morrissey and director Andy Goddard. So this is Christmas. We’re at Cyber HQ in London 1851 – in reality a set at Cardiff’s Upper Boat studios in April 2008. This is Torchwood’s Hub cunningly redressed for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special as a sort of huge Cyber-Victorian engine – all cogs, chains, furnaces, pipes and steam. Think steampunk. Or a huge version of the board game Mouse Trap.

Street urchins are shovelling coal into buckets, pouring oil into funnels and trudging up and down rickety wooden stairs. “No smiling, please,” says director Andy Goddard. “You’re not supposed to be enjoying this. It’s hard and tiring. It’s the worst Christmas you’ve ever had.”

The Doctor has snuck into Cyber HQ. He’s crouching, hidden. “David, could you edge to your left slightly?” asks Goddard. But he’s not talking to Mr Tennant. This is the other David –distinguished thesp David Morrissey. He’s the latest actor to play the Doctor . . . or is he? Those who caught the special preview on Children in Need will have seen the two Doctors meeting in Victorian London.

Now Tennant is perched next to Morrissey, watching the enslaved urchins at work. “We can set them free,” urges Morrissey’s Doctor, brandishing a piece of alien tech like an old hand . . .

“Anyone playing the Doctor has to be capable of anything – action, heartbreak, comedy, wielding a sonic screwdriver – and David Morrissey’s got that in spades,” says Who supremo Russell T Davies. “He’s one of those actors who can turn on a sixpence; light-hearted one minute, tragic the next. Sounds exactly like a Time Lord to me.”

At the time of giving the Christmas special its title, The Next Doctor, Davies knew the news of Tennant’s departure would have become public [Tennant announced in October that he’s leaving after filming four more specials next year]. “Hopefully, that creates a bit more intrigue,” says Davies, “and hints at interesting developments in the show’s future. Let’s just say that regeneration is a complicated process, and never as simple as it seems.”

Even before reading the script, I was attracted to this part,” says Morrissey when RT joins him in his trailer over lunch. “Doctor Who is great. They’ve asked me to do stuff before, but because of other commitments I was unable to. Then this came along: the Christmas special, which has added kudos and an amazing character. Well, the ultimate character, really. But a tragic character, too. Something terrible has happened to him. Over the course of the episode, bits of what happened are revealed . . .

“The Doctors become great friends,” he says. “In this episode the Doctor [Tennant] doesn’t have a companion, which is rare, and my Doctor fills that gap. But all those questions my Doctor wants to ask about himself and his past have to be put aside to save London from destruction.”

Back on set, all eyes are on a woman in a vibrant red dress. “Children! Pay attention! I want to see you work.” It’s Dervla Kirwan – flanked by a Cyberman. “Now,” she purrs, “let the new Industrial Revolution begin!”

“I’ve worked with Dervla before,” says Davies. “She had a cameo as David Tennant’s mother in Casanova [BBC1 2005], but I wanted to write more for her. She devours the part of Miss Hartigan with relish – a perfect villain for all the family to jeer at. And the script gives her an amazing villainous scene at a funeral.” In fact, Davies went as far as contacting Heidi Thomas, the writer of BBC1’s Cranford, to research the etiquette of women at the graveside in Victorian times. “Heidi might choke on her Christmas dinner when she sees what I’ve done!”

Tennant and Morrissey have also worked together before – in the 2004 BBC1 drama Blackpool. “What David’s done with the Doctor is so special,” says Morrissey. “He has moved it on – not just the character, but also how he’s taken on the role publicly. We were filming in Gloucester with 400 people watching. When I got out of the car with David it was like being with a member of Take That! They were shouting, ‘We love you!’ and he was so warm-hearted towards them.”

Morrissey explains his approach to nailing his Doctor: “There has to be an inner truth for me, something at stake, and you have to play that
for real.” So did any former Doctors influence his performance? “When I look at Tom Baker and William Hartnell, there’s a truth to their performances; Patrick Troughton as well. They never saw it as a genre show or a children’s show.

“The difficulty for me is green screen [for special effects] – trying to create a relationship with something that isn’t there. It’s just a man holding a scaffolding pole with a tennis ball on the end. It’s a weird process. At least with the Cybermen, their cold, emotionless faces are right there, so you can react to them. Plenty of kids will sleep with the lights on come Christmas night.”

In Cyber HQ, however, the Cyberleader is in a bit of a pickle. His arm keeps falling off. (Well, part of his arm.) Not so scary now, eh? “He’s a decomposing Cyber Controller,” quips Tennant. “Hang on. No, he’s a Cyberleader, isn’t he? Easy mistake to make.”

“Call yourself the Doctor?” Morrissey tuts in mock disgust.

Would Morrissey consider a return to Doctor Who? “Oh yeah. Definitely. I love it. I’ve had a great time.” As speculation gathers pace about who’ll take over from Tennant, Morrissey is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the bookies’ favourite. “If they asked me back,” he says, with a twinkle in his eye, “I’d jump at it. I think it’s a great character, and I’ve loved every minute.”

Radio Times goes on sale tomorrow at the price of £1.05, but also look out for the christmas issue from the 6th December, which includes more previews and interviews.

The BBC Press Office have officially announced that there will be a third series of the Sarah Jane Adventures, planned to be aired in the autumn next year. The press release also confirms that Luke, Clyde and Rani will return.

On CBBC, Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen) returns for a third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures in Autumn 2009, produced by Doctor Who supremo Russell T Davies.

Together with her companions Rani and Clyde and her adopted son Luke, Sarah Jane once again comes face to face with a whole host of weird and wonderful alien beings.

It's Christmas Eve in 1851 and Cybermen stalk the snow of Victorian London, in this special Christmas edition of Russell T Davies's Bafta Award-winning time-travelling drama.

When the Doctor arrives and starts to investigate a spate of mysterious deaths, he's surprised to meet another Doctor, and soon the two must combine forces to defeat the ruthless Miss Hartigan. But are two Doctors enough to stop the rise of the CyberKing?
David Tennant stars as The Doctor, David Morrissey as The Doctor and Dervla Kirwan as Miss Hartigan. This episode also features Velile Tshabalala as Rosita.

The Doctor Who Prom

BBC One offers viewers the chance this Christmas to see highlights from the first Doctor Who Prom – one of the hottest tickets of the summer. Hosted by Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) and with a surprise guest appearance by Catherine Tate (Donna Noble), this programme, filmed at the BBC Proms in July, is a musical odyssey through time and space.

With the Tardis on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall, the programme takes viewers on a journey through four series of the Doctor's adventures, and features the music that accompanied them – Murray Gold's celebrated music for the television series. Performed by the BBC Philharmonic and London Philharmonic Chorus, under the baton of Ben Foster, the music is accompanied by specially edited film sequences from the series.
One of today's featured highlights provides viewers with a chance to see the scene that was specially filmed for the BBC Proms. Music Of The Spheres, written by Russell T Davies and starring David Tennant – not to mention a mischievous Graske – left the audience spellbound and there is lots of audience interaction and laughter. The concert also brought the audience face to face with some of the Doctor's most fearsome adversaries – a host of monsters and aliens, including the Doctor's oldest enemies, the Cybermen, Davros and the Daleks.
Music featured in this Doctor Who Prom includes All The Strange, Strange Creatures; The Doctor Forever; Rose; Martha v The Master; The Daleks And Davros; Donna; Girl In The Fireplace; Astrid; This Is Galifrey; Doctor's Theme/Song Of Freedom; Doomsday; and Doctor Who Theme.
Doctor Who At The Proms is simulcast on BBC HD – the BBC's High Definition channel available through Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media. With up to five times more detail than standard definition television, HD provides exceptionally vivid colours and crisp pictures to make Doctor Who At The Proms a truly cinematic TV experience.

No broadcast times have been announced for either programme and no broadcast date has been announced for the prom. More details as they come.

David Tennant to leave Doctor Who

Last night at the National Television Awards, David Tennant announced that he will not be returning as The Doctor and that the 2009 Special episodes will be his last. The announcement came after he won the award for Best Drama Performance as his portrayal as the Doctor. You can view a video on the BBC Doctor Who Website here, in which David talks about why he is leaving, also at the end of the video there is a special unseen trailer for the 2008 Christmas Special entitled, The Next Doctor. Wins at the National Television Awards

Last night at the National Television Awards, Doctor Who came away with two awards, the show won the award for Most Popular Drama and David Tennant won the award for Most Popular Drama Performance, Catherine Tate lost out to David in that category, however as David Tennant is performing as Hamlet and could not be there in person, Catherine collected the award for him. David did give an acceptance speech from Stratford Upon Avon and gave some very bad news for all Doctor Who fans across the world...

Torchwood: Into the Silence
The body in the church hall is very definitely dead. It has been slicedopen with surgical precision, its organs exposed, and its vocal cords are gone. It is as if they were never there or they've been dissolved... With the Welsh amateur Operatic Contest getting under way,
music is filling the churches and concert halls of Cardiff. The competition has attracted the finest Welsh talent to the city, but it has also drawn something else - there are stories of a metallic creature hiding in the shadows. Torchwood are on its tail, but it's moving too fast for them to track it down. This new threat requires a new tactic - so Ianto Jones is joining a male voice choir...

Torchwood: Bay of the Dead
When the city sleeps, the dead start to walk... Something has sealed off Cardiff, and living corpse are stalking the streets, leaving a trail of half-eaten bodies. Animals are butchered. A young coupe in their car never reach home. A stolen tugboat is brought back to shore, carrying only human remains. And a couple of girls heading back from the pub watch the mysterious drivers of a big black SUV take over a crime scene. Torchwood have to deal with the intangible barrier surrounding Cardiff, and some unidentified space debris that seems to be regenerating itself. Plus, of course, the all-night zombie horror show. Not that they really believe in zombies.

Torchwood: The House that Jack Built
Jackson Leaves - an Edwardian house in Penylen, built 1906, semi-detached, three storeys, spacious, beautifully presented. Left in good condition to Rob and Julia by Rob's late aunt. It's an ordinary sort of a house. Except for the way the rooms don't stay in the same places. And the strange man that turns up in the airing cupboard. And the apparitions. And the temporal surges that attract the attentions of Torchwood. And the fact that the first owner of Jackson Leaves in 1906 was a Captain Jack Harkness...

Children in Need 2008

It has now been officially confirmed by the BBC that there will be a specially filmed scene of doctor who on appeal night, which is Friday 14th November. Who is in the scene has not been confirmed yet, but it is likely that there will be a trailer advertising appeal night with snippets from the scene closer to the time of the appeal.
